The Apollo Bay Football Club has won 6 premierships in the the Colac and District Football Leauge since winning their drought breaking preimership in 1984. The Bayers joined the Colac and District Football League in 1972 after previously competing in the now defunct Polworth League which included Lorne, Winchelsea and Queenscliff. In 2011 Apollo Bay did not win a game of football but have rebuilt and are developing a strong club culture.
